Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mercy Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide indirect and direct patient care, including vital signs, medical history, and laboratory specimen collection.
  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Prepare and administer medications, as directed by a physician.
  • Document patient information, test results, and medical records accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Active Medical Assisting certification from a recognized organization (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience, or completion of an externship or clinical lab training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume setting.
