Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical services and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, group therapy, and individual therapy sessions to clients, adhering to our policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external entities to coordinate care and improve client outcomes.
  • Participate in regular meetings, including clinical and multidisciplinary sessions.
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education and implement core competencies in working with co-occurring disorders.
  • Meet client satisfaction, outpatient group attendance, and client retention targets.
Requirements
  • Valid LADC/ADC-T licensure in the state of MN.
  • At least 1 year of addiction counseling experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MN Statutes related to providing services for our population.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or attainment within 30 days of employment.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with medication for opioid use disorder models and specialty training such as DBT-SUD, CBT, and MI.
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System.
