YOUR ROLE:
Position Overview:
As an Emergency Care Technician II, you will play a vital role in supporting nurses, physicians, and mid-level practitioners in delivering safe and effective patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the coordination of patient care across various departments.
- Maintaining a well-stocked, organized, and clean Emergency Department, ensuring all supplies and equipment are current and available.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
You will report directly to the RN and Assistant Nurse Managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; candidates must be at least 18 years old and pass a monitor examination within six months of hire.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of six months as an Emergency Care Technician I or equivalent experience in an emergency department setting. Florida EMT licensure may be accepted in lieu of the required experience.
Certification Requirements:
Minimum: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Certification: Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in accordance with Florida Statutes.
