Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Van Driver/Shuttle Driver to join our team at Embassy Suites Raleigh Crabtree. As a key member of our bell staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of guests, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport guests to and from designated locations using official hotel vehicles, ensuring timely and safe arrivals and departures.
  • Load and unload guest luggage and other belongings from vehicles, escorting guests to and from guest rooms as needed.
  • Operate hotel vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to established laws and regulations.
  • Perform assigned duties associated with guest transportation, including maintaining logs, showing videos, and reading and tracking guest transportation schedules.
  • Properly maintain and clean hotel vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of guest luggage, packages, gifts, messages, facsimiles, newspapers, and other items.
  • Follow security procedures for handling guest room keys and protecting guest-related information.
  • Listen to and promptly address guest problems and complaints, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Clean and organize the hotel front entrance, bell stand area, and bell closet, including daily light cleaning.
  • Comprehend and abide by all traffic regulations while transporting guests, remaining calm and alert during emergencies or heavy hotel activity.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with a strong emphasis on customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read and understand English language to ascertain information from luggage tags, claim checks, and to identify specific airline/customer pickup and drop-off points and street signs.
