We are seeking a highly skilled Kyrgyz or Uzbek linguist to join our team at Leidos. As a linguist, you will be responsible for processing materials and participating in situations requiring general professional capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Translation: Accurately translate reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing intended implications and nuances.
- Interpretation: Interpret accurately, with a good understanding of one or more regional dialects.
- Transcription: Review audio or internet materials and transcribe with a high degree of accuracy and expression.
- BA/BS and/or equivalent formal military training and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Excellent English-language verbal communication skills to deliver informative briefings.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Target and English.
- Linguists who are proficient in multiple languages are strongly desired.
