We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at the Fordham Medical Offices. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine patient care tasks, including vital signs, wound care, and medication administration, under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Assist with patient examinations and treatments, including positioning, restraining, and passing instruments as directed.
- Prepare and transport medical equipment and laboratory specimens.
- Maintain departmental files, including pulling files, assembling forms, and filing diagnostic reports.
- Initiate and complete diagnostic test forms, telephone prescriptions to pharmacies, and relay medical information between physicians and patients.
- Participate in Department Quality Assurance activities.
- Current CA LVN license and BLS certification.
- Ability to give and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with the public.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique.
This is a part-time position, working 32 hours per week. The schedule includes evenings and weekends, and the employee will work at all Central MOB's: CMV, CLMT, and VAN.
