Bakery Specialist

Job Summary

As a Cake Decorator at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., you will be responsible for delivering exceptional member service in your area. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations. Your primary focus will be on driving member satisfaction by providing high-quality bakery products and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the bakery meets the member's expectations.
• Communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
• Be flexible to the needs of the business.
• Maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage.
• Plan bakery productions and ensure consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs.
• Follow recipe measurement instructions and work with a variety of products to create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items.
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
• Demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
• Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
• Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Drive the performance of the bakery area and ensure quality and date control standards.
• Eliminate waste and prepare for seasonal events that impact the bakery volume.
• Identify member needs and assist members with purchasing decisions.
• Resolve member issues and concerns.

• 6 months' experience in a fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
