Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our medical team at VCA East Islip Animal Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our doctors and technicians in delivering top-notch medical services.
Responsibilities:- Perform physical examinations and patient assessments to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Prepare and assist with dental procedures, radiology, and laboratory work to provide comprehensive patient care
- Administer medications and perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and other medical procedures as needed
- Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals and support their recovery
- Current licensure as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, doctors, and other team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology
- Competitive hourly rate: $26-$29/hour
