This opportunity offers a rewarding experience to provide comprehensive rehabilitation care within a supportive healthcare environment.
Position:
Locum MD/DO Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to patients with physical impairments or disabilities.
- Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Conduct electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, treatment options, and preventive care.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Valid New York state medical license and DEA registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PM&R preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage a wide range of rehabilitation cases.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
