Job Summary

The Flight Paramedic is a critical member of the medical transport team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, providing advanced critical care during transport to the hospital. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide advanced critical care during transport
  • Partner with firefighters and police to evaluate situations and provide basic and advanced life-saving support
  • Administer treatments and direct EMTs in delivering patient care consistent with training and level of certification
  • Deliver the highest standard of clinical care in a transport environment
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of paramedic experience in a high-volume 911 or critical care setting
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Previous air medical experience preferred

Computer Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Electronic Patient Care Record (ePCR) software
Certifications and Licenses
  • Current Tennessee Paramedic license (Critical Care endorsement) preferred
  • Current certifications in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR; ACLS; PALS or equivalent and TPATC/PHTLS advanced provider preferred
  • Specialty certification: (FP-C) required within one (1) year of hire
  • NRP certification prior to completion of orientation
  • Annual EMTALA and compliance training
  • NIMS Training IS 100, 200, 700, 800, and HazMat prior to completion of orientation
