Job Title: Art Therapist - Veterans Program
Job Summary:
Simple Steps, LLC is seeking a certified Art Therapist to provide individualized therapeutic sessions for veterans in need. As an Art Therapist, you will work with our team to foster positive relationships with clients and facilitate their personal success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with cognitive and physical limitations through art-based activities.
- Facilitate therapeutic art sessions to promote client growth and development.
- Submit weekly documentation with session observations and client progress.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- ATR-BC Certification
- Experience working with traumatic brain injury
- Experience working with veterans
- Experience working with mental health conditions
- Experience working with post-traumatic stress disorder
Requirements:
- Ability to travel to clients' homes
- Effective communication skills with healthcare professionals, clients, families, and the general public
- Access to a private laptop or desktop computer for HIPAA compliance
- Ability to track SMART goals and progress through weekly documentation
- Implementation of patient care plans through home and community goal-related activities
