Construction Site Lead

Champion Home Builders is a leading manufacturer of manufactured housing, offering a range of solutions from single-family homes to large-scale commercial buildings. We are seeking an experienced Construction Set Crew Lead to join our team and provide leadership to our construction crew.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the construction crew's day-to-day activities, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Plan and delegate job responsibilities to the crew daily, organizing resources as needed.
- Directly supervise the move and setup of mobile homes or prefabricated buildings on owners' lots or at mobile home parks.
- Provide guidance and training to crew members where needed.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures throughout the project, as outlined by Champion Home Builders.
- Lead inspections and testing of the operation of parts or systems to evaluate operating condition and determine if repairs are needed.
- Hands-on technical responsibilities include:
- Setting (blocking and leveling) manufactured housing units.
- Structurally fastening the units.
- Completing the roof closure and shingling.
- Closing up the exterior mate wall sheathing seams to provide a weather-tight product.
- Completing interior trim out, finish work, and installing skirting.
- Ensuring the crew maintains company tools and materials, remaining informed of any issues that arise.
- Representing Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
- Modeling and communicating the expectations of Champion Home Builders regarding performance and attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 40lbs.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for the full duration of the workday.
- Must be able to obtain a certified medical card.
- Must have clear vision at both close and distant ranges.
- Ability to hear clearly.
- Must be willing to travel, with occasional overnight stays.
- Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of houses or buildings.
- Experience leading a team of others, delegating, and providing necessary training.
- Ability to troubleshoot, reason, and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Understand and execute instructions, work safety policies, and procedures.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Must provide a valid driver's license and hold a clean driving record.
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
