Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Billing & Collections team in our Farmington business office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for following policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from commercial and governmental payors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Follow up on claims for resolution of outstanding balances and denials
• Work directly with payors to resolve denials and underpayments
• Participate in the collection and documentation of claims processing rules
• Generate electronic and hard copy claims for submission
• Obtain supporting documentation for claim acceptance
• Interact with interdepartmental units as needed
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality performance expectations
Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED
• Two years recent experience in medical collections and/or medical billing
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and Federal HIPAA regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Epic, electronic billing, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Knowledge of insurance claim processing and third-party reimbursement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
