As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care through the utilization of ultrasound technology. About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, producing high-quality images, and maintaining accurate records. Your ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals will be essential in ensuring seamless care delivery. Additionally, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technologies and techniques, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

* Performs ultrasound procedures, utilizing advanced imaging modalities to assist in diagnosis and treatment
* Develops and maintains accurate records, meeting regulatory and accreditation agency requirements
* Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective care delivery
* Stays current with industry developments, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge
* Maintains equipment quality control procedures, reporting deficiencies to supervisors as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of an Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography from a CAAHEP-approved program. Registry eligibility by ARDMS is also required. One year of experience in ultrasound technology is preferred, but not necessary. You must be able to obtain BLS certification within 90 days of employment. Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
