Overview:
This role involves the continuous observation of patients' cardiac rhythm and telemetry metrics. The specialist is responsible for alerting the physician and/or registered nurse regarding any alterations in the fundamental electrocardiographic patterns.

Qualifications:
Mandatory:
EKG certification or completion of an EKG course

Educational Background:

High School Diploma

Desirable:
High School Diploma supplemented by training gained through professional experience or education

Key Responsibilities:


PATIENT MONITORING - Observes multiple patients' continuous ECG, including the assessment of PR interval, QRS duration, QT interval, heart rate, and rhythm.

DOCUMENTATION - Gathers pertinent patient history and accurately records information in files.

EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT - Verifies inventory of supplies to ensure adequate stock is maintained. QUALITY ENHANCEMENT - Utilizes time and resources efficiently to foster quality and cost-effective outcomes.

PROFESSIONAL GROWTH - Takes responsibility for professional development and job performance by seeking opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
