Job Overview

Hayman Daugherty Associates is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to fill a locum tenens opportunity in the vibrant medical community near Orleans, CA. This temporary position arises due to a maternity/paternity vacancy, starting on April 15, 2024, and continuing indefinitely.

The practice demands a comprehensive and individualized care approach, with a diverse mix of pediatric and adult patients. Operating Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, the role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. A decision on applications is typically made within 7-14 days, providing a swift onboarding process.

Experienced Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) with three years in a similar setting are encouraged to apply. Physician Assistants must hold a CA Controlled Substance Education Course Certificate, while Nurse Practitioners require a Furnishing License with Schedules II. An active DEA is essential before the start date.

Credentialing, which spans 30-90 days, involves meeting immunization requirements, including the Flu Vaccine, TB Status/X-Ray Results, Positive MMR Titer or Complete Immunization Series, Positive Hep B Titer or Complete Immunization Series, Positive Varicella Zoster Titer or Complete Immunization Series, and Tdap Immunization.

COVID vaccination compliance consists of the primary series plus booster or one dose of the current COVID vaccine (2023/2024 formulation). Both the Healthcare Organization (HCO) and Vendor mutually agree to a 30-day notice for ending assignments.
