Physical Therapist - Correctional Facility

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in a correctional facility setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care within a unique environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to patients under the guidance of the Institution CEO/CME or designee.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and effectively communicate with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, modalities, and patient education.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
Requirements
  • Valid and active license issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
  • Minimum of 12 consecutive months of experience providing similar services within the last 3 years.
  • Current CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross (with AED).
  • Proficiency in the English language (speaking and writing).
