Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with laboratory operations, including setting up clinical samples, monitoring equipment, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up clinical samples for microbiological testing and review
  • Monitor equipment for proper operation and complete documentation
  • Establish and improve current Lab Operations processes and procedures
  • Receive and prepare samples for Laboratory Analysis
  • Assist with testing of clinical samples
  • Participate in quality control program
  • Inventory control and maintenance of microbiology areas
  • Deliver STAT specimens and routine samples to laboratory sections
  • Record daily temperatures and perform water chemistry testing
  • Maintain good rapport and cooperative working attitude with colleagues and hospital staff
  • Participate in laboratory education and training
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to solve problems
  • Computer skills and customer service skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and/or prior laboratory experience preferred
