Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse Float, you will play a vital role in healthcare, coordinating patient care based on our nursing model. You will assess patients, plan personalized care, and evaluate responses to health issues. You will keep patients safe by understanding their needs and the healthcare setting for smoother transitions. You will delegate interventions to team members based on guidelines, patient condition, and team abilities. Your professionalism and experience will help you make important recommendations that impact patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on patient and family needs
- Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes
- Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff
- Help with emotional and physical pain to aid healing
- Embracing diversity in all its forms, incorporate the unique perspectives and requirements of patients into your care plans
- Patients, families, staff, and community will be educated continuously
- Evaluate and record learning progress
- Work with team and community to implement care plan, delegate tasks as needed
- Solve problems efficiently, utilizing resources effectively and acknowledging their limitations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. You should be familiar with relevant laws, rules, and regulations, including those for nursing care certifications and accreditations. You should have effective communication skills, both spoken and written. Your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will be vital in this role. Good grasp of general computer skills.
Qualifications
You should have graduated from an accredited program in nursing or have two years of relevant work experience. The main area of study in your education should be nursing. You need to be a registered nurse and have basic life support certification or get it within 30 days of starting.
