Job Summary
Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team. As a Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care to patients and their families.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care services.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide patient advocacy, education, and support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required, National Registry preferred.
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
Working Conditions
This is a PRN position, working nights in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
