Position Overview:
Franciscan Physician Network is actively seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified physician specializing in Oncology and Hematology. This role is integral to our esteemed Oncology & Hematology Specialists division. Our organization is recognized as one of the leading cancer care providers in the region, accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to foster strong relationships within the community and with patients. Collaboration is key, as the physician will work alongside a dedicated team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Expectations:
- Certification in Medical Oncology is required, with a preference for Hematology certification.
- Standard clinic hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- On-call responsibilities include weekday coverage with one provider on call daily, and weekend and holiday call at a ratio of 1:4.
- New providers can expect to gradually manage an outpatient volume of up to 21 patients per day within two years.
- Average inpatient volume is approximately 3 patients per day.
- Common cancer diagnoses treated include breast, colon, lung, head and neck, rectal, prostate, gynecologic cancers, as well as benign and malignant hematologic disorders.

Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Medicine is required.
- Physician License (MD/DO) is mandatory upon hire.
