Job Description

This opportunity is located within our AFB International business, the global science and technology leader in pet food palatability. We develop and produce a full range of liquid and dry palatability enhancers using high-quality ingredients proven to optimize companion animal response and consumption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance, identifying key performance drivers and summarizing financial results.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial projections, ad-hoc analysis, and variance analysis to support management and facilitate profit improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Develop and implement global policies and internal controls, monitoring accounting and inventory activities to ensure compliance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standard costs, reviewing and auditing the Company's standard cost methods to ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures.
  • Review plant-related capital projects, providing feedback to project managers as necessary prior to the submission of Capital Appropriation Requests.
  • Compile and review detailed financial information, developing and modifying financial reports in IFS, BPC, Excel, etc. as necessary.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
  • Prepare various financial analyses and complete general ledger accounting as required.
  • Expense analysis and consultation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience, Accounting degree preferred.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree / CPA preferred.
  • Experience with IFS, IFS Business Reporter, and SAP Business Planning & Consolidation software.
