Role Overview

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and nurturing team members through various developmental strategies including training, coaching, and performance management. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive direction and assistance regarding daily financial operations to foster a clear understanding and financial literacy among all staff.
  • Assess and analyze existing functions, processes, and systems to pinpoint areas that require enhancement, thereby guaranteeing the highest standard of service delivery.
  • Oversee daily financial expenditure approvals, including A/P holds and employee expenses, to ensure that business costs are tracked and evaluated against the established Business Plan.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports in collaboration with the in-country Accounting Manager, ensuring precise financial reporting for management in accordance with GAAP.
  • Compile all necessary documentation and information requests required by external auditors for the annual financial statement filings.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and review of all P&L accounts as part of the month-end process and as requested by management to support cost analysis and review.
  • Manage the complete month-end closing process, including the review and posting of all journal entries, and the closing of Fixed Asset and Purchasing modules in Oracle, ensuring compliance with company deadlines and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare all monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for Park Ridge, securing the necessary approvals and ensuring adherence to filing deadlines set by the Corporate Consolidation team.
  • Monitor and review all reconciliations to confirm that internal procedures are followed, deadlines are met, and any discrepancies are identified and resolved within 90 days.
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific statutory filing requirements.
  • Conduct interviews for both internal and external recruitment as necessary to maintain optimal staffing levels and facilitate staff development and progression.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Native German speaker with fluency in English.
  • Finalist in a Professional Body (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ACA) is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of people management experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a financial environment is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
