JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Coffee Specialist, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and beverages, managing cash transactions, restocking supplies, engaging with guests, communicating inventory needs to management, and mastering our beverage standards while promoting additional offerings to guests.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $9/hr.+ tips (average $9-$16/hr); Paid biweekly

SCHEDULE:

The hospitality industry operates 24/7, 365 days a year. All candidates must be flexible and are expected to work during peak times, including special events. We strive to manage and minimize overtime, but it may be necessary during busy periods.

• Full-time option: 30-40 hours per week based on business needs
• Part-time option: 8-29 hours per week based on business needs
• Workdays and weekends will vary depending on business demands.
• Shift options: Vary based on forecasted business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create a welcoming and friendly Howdy Hospitality atmosphere that is service-oriented.
• Prepare daily supply orders to maintain stock levels.
• Handle cash transactions and adhere to bank drawer protocols.
• Learn and apply suggestive selling techniques during service.
• Maintain cleanliness in all work areas and uphold a professional appearance and uniform.

Qualifications

• Must be TABC and Texas Food Handlers Certified or able to obtain certification by the start date.
• A genuine passion for the coffee industry is essential.
• One year of barista experience preferred, but not mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced service environment.
• A pleasant and outgoing personality is necessary.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position ranges from $9.00/Hr. to $16.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
