US Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Fleet Mechanic to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary range of $22-$38 per hour, depending on relevant experience and education.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled heavy duty mechanic to diagnose and repair diesel equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and manage repair documentation. As a Senior Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for responding to road service calls and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and other heavy-duty vehicles
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to ensure fleet reliability and efficiency
  • Document all repairs, PMs, and parts accountability in a timely manner
  • Handle road service calls and transport equipment as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations and company standards
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid Class-A CDL license, DOT certification preferred
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills relating to equipment repairs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience in administering a PM program
  • Able to read and understand technical and service manuals

You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
