Nursing Care Specialist

In this role, you will provide care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. As a Travel RN, you will work in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from your home address.
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our team as a Travel RN. This opportunity allows a RN to travel locally while providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
This position offers the chance to work in different settings while utilizing your nursing expertise/knowledge and appropriate age and population-specific standards. You will care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsibilities include coordinating care, resident assessment, resident education, and various other nursing interventions.
You may serve as a charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and their competence level. You will provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.
The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
Salary Details
Starting rate: $33.50 - $50.25 per hour, with opportunities for additional compensation based on experience and certifications. Depending on qualifications and location, the estimated annual salary ranges between $68,712 and $104,296. Benefits and compensation are competitive and designed to attract top talent in the field of nursing.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have a current RN license in good standing, preferably with multistate licensure. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Three months of previous experience in long-term care is required; six months of experience is highly desirable. The ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize multiple tasks is essential for success in this role.
