Job Title: Registered Nurse - PCU

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse - PCU to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be proficient in providing care to patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information, detecting any changes and enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays
  • Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology
Requirements:
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience
