Position Summary
Tiger Correctional Services is seeking a Culinary Operations Supervisor to manage and direct food service activities while ensuring adherence to health and sanitation regulations in accordance with company and correctional facility policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws. This is a full-time, non-exempt, entry-level role with training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals following established recipes and menus.
- Ensure sanitary and safe conditions and equipment to meet federal and state standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned facility-provided staff.
- Conduct daily inventory checks and maintain accurate tracking logs.
- Manage kitchen stock levels and initiate reorders as necessary.
- Perform quality assurance checks as required.
- Foster professional relationships with company personnel, facility administration, and assigned labor while upholding company values.
- Ensure compliance with all security protocols as mandated by the company and facility administration.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned or needed.
Required Skills
- Strong culinary skills.
- Reliable and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer usage, particularly with Microsoft Excel.
- Physical demands include standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of moderate weights.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Remote work is not permitted for this position.
This role is classified as safety-sensitive.
