Job Summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for conducting sonographic procedures on assigned patients using advanced ultrasound diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sonographic procedures on assigned patients, utilizing ultrasound diagnostic equipment to gather medical data necessary for diagnosis.
  • Ensure equipment is constantly functional and ready for immediate use, maintaining records and reports on equipment, procedures performed, and billing.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to gather and interpret sonographic data, contributing to the development of accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing exceptional patient care and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardio Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as they relate to ultrasound diagnostic procedures
