What You'll Do
The Cashier plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless transaction experiences for our valued patrons.

You will serve as the frontline representative of our brand, responsible for welcoming and engaging with customers, accurately processing transactions, and maintaining an inviting store atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed customer expectations by delivering outstanding service through effective communication and active listening.
  • Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
  • Utilize the Cashier script to guide customers through the transaction process and inform them about company programs.
  • Execute cash management, return, layaway, and exchange policies with precision.
  • Communicate professionally and positively with all associates and customers.
  • Provide product information and respond to basic customer inquiries, offering recommendations as needed.
  • Coordinate with loaders to promptly assist customers.
  • Efficiently manage transactions while prioritizing timely service and handling disputes professionally.
  • Maintain a visible presence in front of the registers to assist customers when not engaged in transactions.
  • Highlight the benefits of joining the Rural King loyalty program.
  • Introduce the advantages of the Rural King Visa card to customers.
  • Respond to incoming calls at the registers with professional phone etiquette.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of registers and proper filing of paperwork.
  • Maintain awareness to prevent loss and deliver exceptional service.
  • Execute various cashier responsibilities, including stocking and cleaning duties.
  • Participate in cross-training for flexibility across departments.
  • Engage in learning initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
