Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, direct, and supervise projects to ensure project conformity to contractual requirements related to time, quality, and budget.
  • Deal directly with clients to establish project schedules and expectations.
  • Conduct site visits as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing the client base through various business development efforts.
  • Prepare RFP-type proposal responses, including project write-ups and resumes.
  • Work with the Program Manager to prepare fee proposals for the division.
  • Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.
  • Apply applicable building codes, regulations, and client design standards.
  • Manage and supervise mechanical engineering staff and lead staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • PE required in at least one of the 50 US states with the ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
  • B.S. degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years (10 preferred) experience in mechanical design and analysis for building construction projects.
  • Government, healthcare, or higher education project experience a plus.
  • Must have Project Management experience.
  • Solid understanding of relevant mechanical codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering theories and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project approach and mechanical system design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCad.
