Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Pilgrim's facility in Moorefield, WV. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner possible while maintaining customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and develop employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity performance.
- Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines to effectively utilize departmental policies and procedures.
- Manage employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback.
- Promote department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and employee involvement.
- Investigate areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance.
- Promote safety throughout the work area.
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
- Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
- Previous leadership skills with 20 or more employees.
- Effective communication both orally and in writing.
- Capable of independent decision making.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in a related field preferred.
