Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist performs a range of diagnostic-imaging procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department, including general radiography, mobile C-arm, and portable x-ray exams. This role requires learning under the direction of the department manager and coordinator, with a focus on assessing, treating, or caring for patients of all age categories and demonstrating age-specific competency. The Specialist will also assist physicians/radiologists when required and perform any other duties assigned. This position may be required to float to all Diagnostic Imaging locations.

Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge/Licensure/Certification: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, resulting in certification from the State of California as a Radiologic Technologist. Evidence of continuing education in the Science of Radiologic Technology. CPR Certified.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist; pediatric experience preferred.
  • Skills/Activities: Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written skills. CQI team experience. Basic proficiency with computer system.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit: Up to 3 hours/day
  • Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours
  • Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
  • Reach: Up to 6 hours
  • Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs
  • Lift/Push/Pull: 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment

This role requires the ability to hear alarms, clients, and/or instruction. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function of this position.
