Job Title: GIS Specialist

Rapid Response Monitoring is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to join our team. As a GIS Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining our proprietary GIS database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date geographic data for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and update existing GIS maps within our database, incorporating new shape files as needed.
  • Research customer accounts and information within our proprietary system, utilizing problem-solving skills to identify solutions.
  • Collaborate with our Permit Coordinator Team to identify and audit geographic areas requiring updated maps, as well as assist with incoming jurisdictional requests.
  • Communicate GIS changes to internal teams and customers, ensuring seamless integration and preparation for subsequent effects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and meet weekly metrics, adhering to top-level confidentiality standards.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent military experience, with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to obtain security licenses in all required States.
  • Flexibility to work schedule as assigned, including overtime and/or weekends if required.
  • Superior attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with Open Street Maps, JOSM, or other similar GIS software.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
