Job Summary:

The Fullington Auto Bus Company is seeking an experienced Motor Coach Driver - Safe Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on scheduled routes, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled driver with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be required to drive a large motor coach, inspecting it regularly to ensure safe operating conditions, and submitting written reports as necessary. Your duties will include assisting passengers with boarding and discharge, driving according to federal regulations, maintaining records, performing loading and unloading tasks, and reporting accidents or incidents promptly.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a large motor coach on scheduled routes, following all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Inspect the vehicle before, during, and after trips to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Submit written reports on the condition of the motor coach at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and discharge, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Drive according to federal regulations, taking regular breaks to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel purchases, mileage, and other required documentation.
  • Perform loading and unloading tasks, handling passenger luggage and supplies with care.
  • Promptly report any accidents or incidents to management, providing detailed information and supporting evidence when necessary.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial motor vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
  • Air Brake test certification.
  • Class A or B CDL, depending on the specific requirements of the role.
  • At least 21 years old, meeting insurance requirements.
  • Excellent oral communication skills, able to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and the general public.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently, comprehend highway traffic signs and signals, and respond to official inquiries.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation:

$35.50 per hour, offering a competitive salary and benefits package for this full-time position.
