We are looking for a dedicated Physician Assistant to enhance our Gastroenterology services at Texas Multi-Specialty Group. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering scheduled patient care under the supervision of a physician in both hospital and outpatient environments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to identify patient health issues.
- Prescribe and recommend medical therapies and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide medical recommendations and referrals as necessary.
- Create and execute detailed, outcomes-focused treatment plans based on patient evaluations and evidence-based practices.
- Educate patients and their families on medical processes, health management, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes.
- Facilitate timely consultations and referrals when necessary.
- Deliver specialized care for conditions related to the provider's expertise.
- Manage patient care in various healthcare settings beyond the primary clinic.
- May need to fulfill additional patient care responsibilities as required by departmental needs.
- Proficient knowledge of medical information and techniques for diagnosing and treating health conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Experience with medical terminology and patient charting.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and relevant software.
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Availability for one outpatient clinic day per week.
- Participation in weekend call rotation once a month.
