Painter I Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter I to join our team at the University of Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have experience in painting various surfaces, an eye for detail, and a commitment to high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and cleaning.
  • Repair drywall and plaster as needed.
  • Paint walls, buildings, ceilings, and other building components across campus.
  • Clean the work area and leave it in its original condition.
Requirements:
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License.
  • High School Education or GED required, plus one to three years of related experience.
  • Ability to pass and test for, and wear, a respirator.
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work at varying heights, as well as proper ladder usage.
