Surgical Technologist with Perioperative Expertise

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Houston, Texas. About the RoleThis Certified Surgical Technologist position is responsible for providing expert assistance to surgeons during operative and invasive procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.
- Verify accuracy of patient identification and surgical site markings, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including anesthesia use, medications administered, and any complications that may arise.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
- Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- At least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in an operating room environment

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional compensation for certifications and qualifications.
