Job Summary

This is a student employment opportunity with Grand Canyon University's Athletics Department. The Student Photographer will work closely with the GCU Athletics Photographer to capture high-quality images of GCU athletic events and student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the GCU Athletics Photographer in capturing photos of GCU athletic events and student-athletes.
  • Take direction and make edits on all projects from the Athletics Producer, Marketing Project Specialist, or Athletics Photographer.
  • Work with the GCU Athletics Photographer to develop a comprehensive photography plan for GCU athletic events.
  • Take photos of GCU athletic events, including games, practices, and special events.
  • Assist in the organization and tagging of photos using Photoshelter.
  • Work on expedited timelines to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
  • Working knowledge of a DSLR Camera.
  • Working knowledge of Canon/Sony Lenses.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Lightroom/Photoshop) - Editing.
  • Capture One (Studio Shoots).
  • Photoshelter (Photo Organization - Uploading/Tagging Photos).
Work Environment

The Student Photographer will work on location at various athletic venues, subject to variations in temperature and weather, equipment noise, and dust.
