Job Title: Hematology Professor

Seeking a classical (non-malignant) focused hematologist at the Tenured Professor or Associate Professor level to assume key leadership role within the Division as Section Head of Classical Hematology.

The University of Minnesota Medical School is committed to excellence in patient care, medical education, and research. As a prominent referral center for non-malignant hematologic diseases, we are seeking an individual with strong clinical expertise in classical hematology and experience in basic and/or translational research.

This leader will be responsible for developing and managing the growing Classical Hematology Section, comprised of nine early, mid-, and late-career faculty members. The ideal candidate will have the ability to serve as Principal Investigator on the Hematology T32 Research Training Program and participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical care.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the Classical Hematology Section
  • Serve as Principal Investigator on the Hematology T32 Research Training Program
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical care
  • Mentor students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers in research and education
Qualifications
  • M.D., MD/PhD, D.O. or equivalent with Board Eligibility or Certification in Hematology
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient care
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for medical education, mentoring, and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in Academic and Clinical Leadership
  • Tenure, tenure-equivalent, or tenure-eligible per institutional criteria
Estimated Salary Range:

$125,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on academic effort and clinical salary through University of Minnesota Physicians.
