At Otterbein, we view our staff as essential partners in providing exceptional care. Our philosophy emphasizes person-centered service that respects the preferences and choices of our residents. Our team is composed of compassionate and skilled individuals who are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve.

Work Schedule: Full-Time and Part-Time shifts available from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, including every fourth weekend.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning tasks for furnishings, fixtures, ledges, windows, and heating/cooling units, ensuring cleanliness as per schedule or assignment.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness through sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping as directed.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying trash and cleaning receptacles, transporting waste to designated areas.
  • Report maintenance issues, including burned-out light bulbs and pest control concerns, to the supervisor.
  • Engage positively with residents, families, guests, and fellow staff members.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of resident care.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment.
  • Uphold resident rights and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services within a long-term care setting is preferred; a positive demeanor is essential.
