Position Overview:

As a vital member of JBS USA Holdings, Inc., the Purchasing Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of procurement processes. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Receiving: Accurately input packing slips into the system.
  • Requisitions: Manage requisition entries into the system.
  • Daily Workflow: Oversee the daily workflow queue to ensure timely processing.
  • SAP Management: Request new SAP numbers through the system as needed.
  • Invoicing Discrepancies: Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Vendor Relations: Maintain confidentiality while dealing with vendors.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of miscellaneous items stored in the upstairs storeroom.
  • Open Purchase Order Reporting: Generate and manage open PO reports.
  • Filing and Organization: Maintain organized filing systems and perform cleaning duties.
  • Confirmation Reporting: Prepare confirmation reports as required.
  • Inventory Adjustments: Execute necessary inventory adjustments.
  • Spreadsheet Management: Maintain inventory spreadsheets for various categories.
  • Chemical and Packaging Inventory: Oversee chemical and packaging inventory management.
  • MRO Inventory: Manage maintenance, repair, and operations inventory.
  • Additional Duties: Perform numerous other tasks as assigned.

Work Schedule:
This position may require weekend work as necessary.

Working Conditions:
The role involves desk work, standing to file documents, navigating stairs to the office, and some lifting to stock and clean the back storage room.

Required Skills:
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Experience with 10-key calculators.

Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Resume submission is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
