Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician

At Fetch Veterinary, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our internal medicine department, you will play a vital role in the care and treatment of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, ultrasounds, and CT scans
  • Administer medications and monitor patients under sedation and general anesthesia
  • Monitor patients undergoing treatment for acute and chronic conditions and manage their ongoing care
  • Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Organize and initiate treatment plans for patients requiring hospitalization
  • Collect and process samples for laboratory tests and interpret findings
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
  • Educate pet owners about their pets' medical conditions and care regimens
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment, including equipment and supply maintenance
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred
  • Certification as a veterinary technician is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in internal medicine or a similar veterinary setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
