Key Responsibilities:- Assist veterinarians with diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, ultrasounds, and CT scans
- Administer medications and monitor patients under sedation and general anesthesia
- Monitor patients undergoing treatment for acute and chronic conditions and manage their ongoing care
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Organize and initiate treatment plans for patients requiring hospitalization
- Collect and process samples for laboratory tests and interpret findings
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Educate pet owners about their pets' medical conditions and care regimens
- Ensure a safe and clean environment, including equipment and supply maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in veterinary technology preferred
- Certification as a veterinary technician is highly desirable
- Previous experience in internal medicine or a similar veterinary setting preferred
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
