UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Specialty Care team. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services to patients under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities- Obtain patient history and perform assessments via observation, interview, and examination, ordering and performing diagnostic procedures as needed.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Provide inpatient and/or outpatient care, including preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative services, as well as critical care/intensive care medical management.
- Completion of a nationally accredited educational program for Physician Assistants.
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
- Appropriate credentialing through Medical Staff Services.
- Eligibility to provide reimbursable Physician services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- Required: ENT experience.
