About the Role:

American Surplus Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Logistics Specialist to join our team in East Providence, RI. As a key member of our shipping and receiving team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience as a forklift operator and possess excellent inventory management skills. You will be responsible for properly loading and unloading steel product, inventorying incoming product onto spreadsheets, and maintaining safety protocols throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading steel product in a safe and efficient manner
  • Inventorying incoming product onto spreadsheets and updating records
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies
  • Ensuring all products are properly stored and moved throughout the warehouse
  • Packaging product for shipping and delivery
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience as a forklift operator
  • Excellent inventory management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Benefits:
