Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Medical Imaging Specialist in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of medical imaging procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures, positioning patients, and selecting appropriate technical parameters. You will also ensure radiation protection and safety standards are met, prepare and administer contrast media, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Assist physicians in special and advanced procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and other areas.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date, or Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • Multimodality Technologist proficient and Registered in CT and X-ray ARRT.
  • Able to work independently.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
