Join Our Team as a CDL A Delivery Driver

At Performance Foodservice, we're seeking an experienced CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team. As a critical member of our logistics operations, you'll play a key role in delivering food and food-related products to customers across the country.

About the Role:
Our CDL A Delivery Drivers are responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You'll be the face of our company, building relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service. With a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction, you'll ensure timely deliveries and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours of service, fuel consumption, and mileage.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing equipment such as two-wheelers and lift gates.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns.

Requirements:
We're looking for candidates with:
  • A valid CDL A license.
  • Commercial driving experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • The ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card.
  • Able to lift up to 90 pounds and move product throughout the shift.
