Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our Observation Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of RN Telemetry experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN Tennessee state license
  • One year of Epic experience
Skills and Abilities
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
