Job Summary:
As the Lead Culinary Operations Manager, you will oversee both front and back of house operations within the food service departments.
You will ensure the delivery of a high-quality culinary program while managing all financial reporting aspects.Your responsibilities will include menu design, inventory management, procurement, labor and food cost oversight, maintaining sanitation standards, and personnel management, which encompasses hiring, coaching, training, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee supervisory duties in alignment with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Engage in employee meetings and training initiatives.
- Implement safety, sanitation, and maintenance protocols.
- Manage food costs while upholding quality standards.
- Actively participate in team development and management.
- Oversee purchasing and inventory management.
- Execute related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of five years of progressive culinary management experience is required.
We seek a self-motivated, innovative individual with the ability to multitask effectively. A positive attitude under pressure and the ability to inspire the team are essential.
Passion for excellence is a must, along with knowledge of HACCP controls and proper food storage and handling practices.
Experience in purchasing, food storage, and sanitation is crucial, as is familiarity with P&L and financial reporting.
Strong skills in budgeting, labor cost management, and inventory control are necessary.
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and training abilities are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with outstanding business etiquette and client relations, are essential.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift, bend, and carry up to 40 lbs.
Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles is vital.
Adherence to the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior is expected.
ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus.
