Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Core-Mark. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of transportation professionals, including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Assist in scheduling and ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs with drivers to evaluate their performance and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation/Operations Manager to administer the day-to-day operations of the transportation department.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of driver performance, including license status, traffic tickets, accidents, and other safety-related data.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of experience in transportation operations, including knowledge of DOT regulations and experience with computerized fleet management systems.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and experience driving commercial vehicles.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience with a team of greater than 10 CDL Class A drivers.
